Congregation Beth Shalom is fortunate to have a trained meditation instructor among its lay leadership. Jewish meditation teacher Yonah Klem offers meditation classes/sessions throughout the year.
Yonah leads a pre-Shabbat meditation group almost every fourth Friday in the synagogue library, at 7:15 p.m.. Yonah teaches a little about the process of meditating or about Jewish mysticism. Then we meditate for about 15-20 minutes, ending in time to comfortably join the congregation for 8:00 services.
This group is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Come once, or once in a while, or every time we meet.
Please check the Digest or Newsletter for occasional changes to the every fourth Friday schedule.
