Volunteer Appreciation Dinner



Friday, May 9th

CBS will recognize and honor all of our volunteers whose efforts keep our community vibrant. So Please join us for a pizza and salad Shabbat Dinner on Friday, May 9 at 6:30 pm.

Attend if you: Serve on a CBS Committee, leined Torah this year, volunteered in your child’s classroom, sponsored an Oneg Shabbat, or participated in a Purim Spiel.

2008 Israel Solidarity Day



Walk with Israel

Show your support for the State of Israel and fight against anti-semitismn on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at McCormick Place - Lakeside Center.

There will be a pre-walk community rally with Minister Isaac Herzog, Israel's Minister of Welfare and Social Services as well as the Minister of Diaspora.

The 6K Walk with Israel and Family Walk will begin at 10:15 A.M. followed by a carnival and Synagogue-hosted activity booths. The Idan Raichel Project will perform at 12:15 P.M. For more information go to the web site.

Community Seder at CBS



Sunday, April 20th at 5 P.M.

We are having a family style community seder to celebrate the 2nd night of Passover. It will be a real traditional seder with good food, singing, and a lot of fun, so send in your check to reserve your place.

The menu includes – gefilte fish, chicken soup with matzo balls, roast chicken with apricot glaze, carrot and sweet potato tsimmes, vegetables, and dessert. Cost is $30.00 per adult and $15.00 Children 5-13. Children under 5 are free. Reserve by April 11th.

The Searchers groups are for those looking for deeper, more spiritual connections, new links to Jewish Tradition and community.
