The summer vacation period is just about over, and our students are readying themselves for a return to their studies. This year we have something special for adult learners at our congregation.  The Florence Melton School of Jewish Learning is coming to Congregation Beth Shalom. Created by the faculty of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, students will explore classic Jewish sources, from Biblical through contemporary texts, and investigate issues of Jewish thought, practice, ethics and Jewish history. Two outstanding Melton faculty scholars will teach these classes at CBS. All instruction and texts will be in English. Students do not need to be able to read or understand Hebrew to study with us.
