At CBS we seek to enrich Jewish life through adult education. We aim to provide learning opportunities of Jewish interest to all adult members of CBS.

CURRENT SCHEDULE

Monday at 8:00 PM – Introduction To Rashi

Learn Torah and the commentary of Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki (“Rashi”), a traditional cornerstone of Jewish education for nearly 1000 years.

Tuesday at 4:30 PM – Adult Hebrew Language Program

We have online Hebrew classes at multiple levels and instructors able to teach from beginner to advanced.  You can learn to read, write, speak, and understand Hebrew.

Wednesday at 7:00 PM – Text Study

You’ve heard the words before, Torah, Tanach, Chumach, Mishnah, Talmud, etc.  This course will describe them and how they relate to each other, using Rabbi Arthur Green’s, “These Are the Words,” as the guide.

Thursday at 11:30 AM – Rabbi’s Study Group

Study with Rabbi Marc Rudolph.  Whether you can come regularly or only drop-in occasionally, join us for the energizing discussions and the joy of learning.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, all Adult Education events are being conducted online.  Please contact Mickey Passman, Adult Education Chair, for information on how to join.

GUEST SPEAKER PROGRAM

The Adult Education Committee is launching an exciting new guest speaker program.  Expect to hear from community leaders and academic scholars.  Check out the CBS calendar and CBS Facebook group page for upcoming events.
